Kravitz Presents $1K Donation to Fatherhood Coalition
LIBERTY, Ohio – Kravitz Deli recently presented a $1,000 check to the Mahoning Valley Fatherhood Coalition.
The delicatessen raised $500 for the organization during National Deli Month in August, and owner Matt Rydarowicz added an additional $500 donation.
“The incredible work, along with our mission to serve our community, is all made possible by the generosity of donors and sponsors,” said John-Michael Oliver, executive director of the Mahoning Valley Fatherhood Coalition. “It allows us to continue initiatives that focus on mentoring, fatherhood, financial literacy with credit repair and health and wellness. We are honored, excited and privileged to have been chosen.”
Rydarowicz said he chose the Mahoning Valley Fatherhood Coalition because fatherhood changed his life.
“I grew up without my father in my life every day, so when I found I was going to have a child, I decided I was going to do things differently,” he said. “I made serious changes and tough choices with my son in mind. I hope that this fundraiser can help others make similar decisions leading to better family success.”
A “thank-you drawing” was held for customers who added their own donation to the cause. A $50 deli/bakery gift certificate was won by Peter DeBenedicts of Brookfield.
Kravitz Deli will continue its support of the organization as part of its National Sandwich Day celebration Nov. 3.
