Lady A to Play Grandstand at Canfield Fair
CANFIELD, Ohio – Seven-time Grammy Award winners Lady A will perform at the Canfield Fair on Sunday, Aug. 31.
Tickets range from $39.50 to $125 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at Ticketmaster.com (fees apply).
A presale will start at 10 a.m. Thursday; use the password Rooster.
No sales will take place at the Canfield Fair box office until summer.
The concert announcement comes earlier than usual. The grandstand concerts are typically announced in the spring.
“The fact that we can make this announcement so early and allow our fairgoers time to plan their summer is great,” said George Roman, fair board director in charge of entertainment.
The concert will mark Lady A’s first appearance in the Mahoning Valley, said Ken Bigley, chief operating officer of JAC Live, the Youngstown-based promoter that works with the fair board to book the grandstand shows.
The fair, which will take place Aug. 27-Sept. 1, has two major concerts each year at the grandstand. The second concert, which will be Sept. 1, will be announced in the future, according to a press release from JAC Live.
The dates for the annual truck and tractor pull and the demolition derby, both popular fair traditions, will also be announced later.
Built around rich vocal harmony and a fusion of country, rock and pop, Lady A is a staple of country radio.
The act has 10 No. 1 hit songs, including “Need You Now,” which enjoyed massive crossover success. Lady A has earned ACM and CMA Vocal Group of the Year trophies three years in a row, plus seven Grammy awards.
The group is composed of Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood.
The Canfield Fair is the largest county fair in Ohio and will mark its 180th year in 2025. For information, go to CanfieldFair.com.
