LaFrance Seeks Prom Clothes for Kyrsten’s Kloset
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – LaFrance Cleaners is accepting donations of prom dresses, other formal wear and jewelry at its Boardman, Canfield and Glenwood Avenue headquarters through June for the Kyrsten’s Kloset program.
La France is the corporate sponsor of Kyrsten’s Kloset, established by the Kyrsten Elizabeth Studer Memorial Foundation.
Every spring, Kyrsten’s Kloset hosts the prom dress drive in honor of its namesake Kyrsten, who was killed by a drunk driver in 2003 when she was 14.
Girls will be able to shop, try on and pick out items at no cost. The only requirement in receiving merchandise is to sign a promise not to drink and drive.
The project has received and distributed more than 500 dresses in the past four years.
LaFrance will clean and do any minor repairs at no charge on all donated dresses.
For more information, contact Sarah Studer at 330 261 5947 or visit Krysten’s Kloset Facebook page.
