Lawrence County CTC Receives $85K Grant

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Lawrence County Career & Technical Center in New Castle was awarded an $85,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education for the purchase of new equipment to train students in high-demand jobs.

“Career and technical education can provide incredible opportunities for students to pursue good-paying jobs in industries critical to our economy,” said state Rep. Marla Brown of New Castle, R-9th. “This grant will help more individuals seize those opportunities and achieve a lifetime of success.”

There are more than 80 career and technical centers in Pennsylvania that offer a combination of classes and hands-on-learning programs. Thousands of students earn industry credentials or certifications for jobs in high demand.
