Lehner Earns Professional in Destination Management Certification
WARREN, Ohio – Nick Lehner, marketing manager at the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, has successfully completed the Professional in Destination Management Certification, enhancing his destination marketing, management and sales expertise.
The certification program is offered by Destinations International, a professional association for destination marketing and management. The curriculum, developed by industry experts, covers destination marketing and management functions and emphasizes their vital role in community development, brand management, destination stewardship and investment, as well as effective programs for promotion and sales.
Destinations International says its “purpose is to attract and cultivate an environment in which a community thrives as an ideal place to visit, invest, live, work, and play.”
Lehner’s certification “strengthens the Trumbull County Tourism Bureau’s position as a leader in destination management, while highlighting its commitment to excellence as well as to the betterment of the county,” the association says.
