Local Businesses Offer Deals So You Shop Local

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Small Business Saturday has been gaining in popularity since it began in 2010. FitSmallBusiness.com reports that in 2016, 112 million consumers shopped on Small Business Saturday, spending $15.4 billion. That’s up from the 73.9 million who spent $5.5 billion in 2012.

Over the last few weeks, The Business Journal has reported on many small businesses that promote shopping local and its positive impact on the community. Many of them are offering special deals this weekend.
