Longtime Sharon Restaurant Gets $50K ARP Grant

SHARON, Pa. – One of the city’s oldest restaurants is receiving a grant to expand its seating and improve its kitchen.

Our Gang’s Lounge, 93 N. Sharpsville Ave., downtown, has received a $50,000 grant from the city’s American Rescue Plan money to enclose its patio and upgrade kitchen equipment.

Our Gang’s Lounge has been owned by Eugene “Pie” Rossi for 30 years. His wife, Susan Rossi, and their children Geno, Giovanni and Genna, are also instrumental in the operation of the family business.

The funds will be used to winterproof the patio and provide updates to kitchen equipment and hot water system.

“By winter proofing our patio, we’ll be able to do more parties and private reservations,” manager Giovanni Rossi said. The restaurant now seats approximately 75. With the winter-proofed patio, it will accommodate an additional 50 to 60.

Currently, the restaurant has to close to accommodate larger private parties. With the expansion, it will be able to remain open, Rossi said.

“Our Gang’s is an institution in Sharon, and this grant will not only help support their expansion plans, but see it remain as part of the city for years to come,” said Bob Fiscus, city manager. “Our goal has always been to make a lasting impact on the city with the awarding of the ARPA funding.”
