Lordstown Motors Hiring Engineers, Managers, Interns
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. is in the midst of hiring engineers, supervisors, managers, line workers and interns as it continues preparing to launch its Endurance pickup truck next year.
On its webpage for job openings, Lordstown Motors lists 105 open positions, about a third of them here. The remaining jobs are at the company’s sites in Greater Detroit and in Irvine, Calif.
Among the 34 local jobs listed are quality engineers across multiple departments – stamping, propulsion, assembly and welding – production workers for battery enclosures and manufacturing engineers for propulsion and the Endurance’s hub motors, and government sales director.
For its Michigan-based positions, Lordstown Motors is seeking validation engineers, project managers and engineers to develop the Endurance.
And in California, the company is searching for developers to work on the truck’s software and hardware.

Lordstown Motors, which has purchased the former General Motors Lordstown Assembly to build electric-powered pickup trucks, has said it aims to hire between 500 and 800 workers. Production on the Endurance is expected to begin in late summer 2021. Shortly before getting listed on the Nasdaq in October, Lordstown Motors announced it had surpassed 40,000 preorders.
