Lordstown Motors Releases New Promotional Video
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. has released a new video that shows its all-electric pickup, The Endurance, in action.
Last month, the company unveiled a prototype of the new vehicle at an event that hosted Vice President of the United States Mike Pence.
The video, which runs one minute and 10 seconds, shows The Endurance engaged in various tasks that include hauling, loading and unloading, and navigating over tough terrain.
“Endurance is what got us here. There’s nowhere it can’t take us,” the voiceover announces at the close of the video.
Clips in the video were shot locally, with the Lordstown water tower and the former Lordstown General Motors plant visible in several shots.
Lordsotwn Motors purchased the former GM plant in November 2019 for $20 million. It plans to retrofit the 6.2 million-square-foot-factory to accommodate production of the new vehicle. The company is targeting summer of 2021 for the first trucks to come online. It intends to build 20,000 new vehicles that year with the intent on expanding.
Lordstown Motors said last month the company has received preorders and letters of intent from potential customers that meet those production targets.
The video can be viewed on YouTube.
