Lordstown Motors Releases Photo of Baja Race Truck
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. has released the first photo of the all-electric Endurance pickup it plans to run in the Score San Felipe 250 in Baja, Mexico, this weekend.
The photo shows a modified Endurance with oversize wheels to accommodate the rough terrain on the San Felipe course, considered “one of the most grueling and punishing races in the world,” according to a company statement distributed Wednesday.
The truck’s body is painted white with black trim and features the Lordstown name prominently on the front grill. The sides of the vehicle display the name of the truck, “All Electric Endurance.”
On Tuesday, Lordstown Motors uploaded a video on its YouTube channel featuring workers welding and building the truck’s chassis and wheel hubs in preparation for the race. The company had earlier released a rendering of the Baja Endurance truck.
The race is scheduled for Saturday, April 17.
