Lordstown Motors Teases Vehicle Before Official Reveal

LORDSTOWN, Ohio – Lordstown Motors Corp. released new teaser images and provided additional details Wednesday regarding its launch event Thursday.

Lordstown Motors announced Monday that Vice President Mike Pence will tour the plant and deliver remarks at the release event, which will publicly unveil the company’s Endurance electric pickup truck.

According to the latest advisory from the company, Energy Secretary Dan Brouillette will join Pence and Lordstown Motors CEO Steve Burns for the event, which will begin at noon.

Pence is scheduled to speak at 12:30 p.m., after which he will depart to speak with law enforcement representatives and community leaders.

The event will be livestreamed on the company’s YouTube channel.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted visited Lordstown Motors Wednesday afternoon for a private tour.

“This is absolutely amazing, how fast this has happened. For people in the Mahoning Valley, it doesn’t seem fast enough but to think how fast this emerged and how many sales they’ve already made to fleets is phenomenal,” DeWine said. “To go from zero to 120 in such a short period of time is, frankly, amazing.”
