Lowellville Completes First Step in Transformation
LOWELLVILLE, Ohio — Mayor James Iudiciani and other officials gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate the completion of a canoe and kayak launch along the north bank of the Mahoning River.
Iudiciani says there are plans to develop 13 adjoining acres into a riverfront park, providing an attractive destination spot for hikers, cyclists, fishing enthusiasts and nature lovers.
“We hope to grow Water Street to a nice destination and maybe open up some shops. We have new owners of property now on Water Street. They’re sharing our vision and we’re excited,” says Mayor Iudiciani.
