MacMillan Joins Platz Realty Group

CANFIELD, Ohio – Platz Realty Group announced Thursday that Shea MacMillan has joined the commercial real estate brokerage.

MacMillan most recently served as the vice president of economic development for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. There he oversaw a team that supported expanded initiatives in workforce development, regional logistics and site readiness. As such, his experience in project management and economic development contracts brings a unique skill set to the Platz team, according to Don Thomas, managing partner of the Platz Realty Group.

At the chamber, MacMillan managed projects that resulted in over $3.1 billion in capital investment, Thomas says, adding that his knowledge of site and building selection services and government incentives brings significant value to Platz.

MacMillan is a state certified economic developer. The Trumbull County native graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University in 2017. He has volunteered his time to the Castlo Community Improvement Corp., Niles Community Improvement Corp. and the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals.

“We are pleased to add a professional the caliber of Shea MacMillan to our team”, says Thomas. “Shea is a highly talented business leader who is committed to the Mahoning Valley and its continued re-development.”

In 2023, the Platz Realty Group achieved $132 million in sold and leased properties, according to Thomas.
