Macy’s Adding ‘Backstage’ Section to Southern Park Mall Store
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Macy’s will open its first Macy’s Backstage in the Youngstown area on May 1 at the chain’s store in Southern Park Mall.
Macy’s Backstage is a store-within-a-store boutique that offers savings on the latest fashions and trendy goods. The Southern Park Mall Macy’s Backstage will be a 14,000-square-foot area on the second level of the store.
According to a news release from the retail giant, Macy’s Backstage will offer a constantly changing assortment of merchandise to encourage fashion-loving customers to keep returning.
The Southern Park Mall Macy’s Backstage is among 12 that will open at existing Macy’s stores nationwide. It will join the more than 200 Macy’s Backstage locations that already exist. Macy’s has 515 stores in the United States.
Macy’s Backstage’s selection will include both new and established brands in apparel for men, women and children, as well as toys, housewares, home office items, home textiles and décor, cosmetics, hair and nail care, personal protective equipment, pet accessories, kid’s shoes, designer handbags, activewear and more.
“As Macy’s expands its assortment from off-price to luxury, we are thrilled to bring Macy’s Backstage into the local community, giving our customers access to the fullness of the Macy’s brand,” said Michael Hersh, Macy’s vice president of off-price, in the announcement. “Our Backstage customers can express their personal style through our rotating assortment of on-trend merchandise at great value in a broad range of categories from home décor to the latest fashion.”
Shoppers can earn and redeem Star Rewards and use their Macy’s credit card at Backstage locations.
