Macy’s in Southern Park Mall Adds Toys”R”Us Department

BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Macy’s has opened a Toys”R”Us toy department to its Southern Park Mall store for the holiday season.

The new partnership will offer guests a 3,500-square-foot toy area that brings back the Toys”R”Us shopping experience.

The toy chain once had over 700 stores nationwide before it was liquidated in 2018.

The Toys”R”Us area in Macy’s will feature colorful fixtures, as well as a photo opportunity with a life-size “Geoffrey the Giraffe,” the toy store’s mascot.

“We hope Toys”R”Us kids of all ages discover the joy of exploration and play within our shops and families create special memories together,” said Nata Dvir, Macy’s chief merchandising officer. “The customer response to our partnership with Toys“R”Us has been incredible and our toy business has seen tremendous growth.”

The Toys”R”Us experience is now open at Macy’s Southern Park Mall on the second floor. The collection includes top brands like Barbie, LEGO, Play-Doh and more.

“The Toys”R”Us experience enhances our diverse selection of retailers for guests to enjoy just in time for the holiday season,” said Brian Gabbert, general manager of Southern Park Mall.
