Magazine Names Westminster College to Top 100 List
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Washington Monthly has named Westminster College one of the top 100 liberal arts colleges in the country.
Jumping 26 spots from last year in the magazine’s “Best Liberal Arts Colleges” list, Westminster was ranked No. 84 overall in Washington Monthly’s ranking of 201 schools nationwide.
Westminster is one of only two western Pennsylvania colleges to make the top 100 placement.
Washington Monthly’s 2023 College Guide and Rankings highlights schools that have made “contributions to the public good” and “what they do for the country,” by measuring social mobility, research and community and national service.
In the service metric, Westminster earned the No. 24 spot, a reward for preparing students for careers in socially valuable fields – health, education and social work.
Westminster was again named a “Best Bang for the Buck College” in the Northeast region for helping nonwealthy students obtain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
Washington Monthly has been releasing its annual College Guide and Rankings since 2005.
