Mahoning County Children Services Launches New Website
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mahoning County Children Services has launched a redesigned website to provide parents, caregivers and visitors easier access to comprehensive information about the agency’s programs and services.
The public agency is responsible for investigating and providing protective services for abused, neglected and dependent children in Mahoning County.
The new website, MahoningKids.com, features staff and department directories and information on how to report child abuse and neglect. The agency’s 24/7 Child Abuse/Neglect Report Line is also highlighted and highly visible.
“The new website is designed to share valuable child welfare information that is easy to find, read and is visually appealing and interactive,” said Jennifer Kollar, public information officer of the Mahoning County Children Services, in a release. “The new design will greatly enhance our ability to communicate more efficiently and effectively as well as engage all visitors to the site.”
The website built by PALO Creative uses a responsive design to automatically resize text and imagery and adjust navigation for better usability on different-sized screens, including desktop monitors and smartphones and tablets.
“The new website is a vital extension to the agency as it provides a wealth of information including frequently asked questions on how to report child abuse and neglect,” said Anthony Spano, board member and secretary of Mahoning County Children Services Board. “Visitors will also find details about the many vital programs and service 24 hours and seven days a week.”
