Mental Health Board Forms ‘Preferred Care Network’
YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO — A network of 10 social service organizations in Mahoning County that serve a variety of needs has been created to give individuals and families seeking care confidence that they’re dealing with a reputable organization with a track record they can trust.
The Preferred Care Network, formed by the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board, comprises nonprofit organizations funded by the board that have demonstrated they are qualified, caring and have the best interests of those they serve at heart.
“Individuals and families have an increasing number of choices – from both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors — when it comes to agencies that provide these services,” said Duane Piccirilli, Executive Director of MCMHRB. “Our goal was to identify for the public non-profit organizations that are funded by Mahoning County levy dollars and have a proven track record of integrity and success in their fields.”
The members of the Preferred Care Network are:
- Alta Care Group
- Catholic Charities Regional Agency
- Coalition for a Drug-Free Mahoning County
- Compass Family and Community Services
- Flying High Inc.
- Help Network of Northeast Ohio
- Mercy Health
- Meridian HealthCare
- Neil Kennedy Recovery Center
- Youngstown Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program
The Preferred Care Network will be promoted in a TV campaign with 11 commercials — one featuring each member organization. Each organization will also display a newly created Preferred Care Network logo on its website and all other materials.
