Mahoning Valley Auto Sales Down 3.4% in August

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Auto sales in the Mahoning Valley fell again in August as dealerships in the area sold 5,222 new and used vehicles, according to data from the Greater Cleveland Automobile Dealers Association, a 3.4% drop from a year ago.

“With less than 1% between each year, we again are seeing a strong market,” said association President Louis Vitantonio in a release. “The fourth quarter will be a bit more difficult as passenger vehicle inventories are higher than normal.”
