Mahoning Valley Irish Festival Announces Charities for 2024 Event
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Organizers of the Mahoning Valley Irish Festival on Tuesday announced the charitable organizations that will benefit from this year’s event.
The festival will take place from 5 to 11 p.m. July 19 and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 20 at Penguin City Brewing, 460 E. Federal St., downtown.
The primary beneficiaries of the festival will be The Purple Cat, a day program for adults with disabilities, and St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.
Several other organizations will be present at the festival, including the Mahoning County Genealogical Society, Diva Donations, Thrive 10:10 and the Disabled American Veterans. The organizations, along with others, will offer information and engage with attendees.
The Altrusa Society, an international nonprofit organization committed to improving local communities through leadership, partnership and service, will assist with a basket raffle and raise funds for its cause.
Also, members of Ursuline’s soccer team will assist with parking to raise tips to support the program.
