Mahoning Valley Medical Society Honors Duffett, Knight
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Mahoning Valley Medical Society has named Dr. Raymond Duffett its 2020 Distinguished Physician.
Duffett started his education at the Virginia Military Institute on a full football scholarship. He went on to the University of Cincinnati for medical school and then did his surgical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Duffett began his practice in the Mahoning Valley in 1988, volunteered his time for 18 years to Austintown Fitch High School as its team physician and has been Youngstown State University’s orthopedic surgeon since 1988.
Dr. Christopher Knight was also named 2020 Distinguished Physician by the medical society
The Distinguished Physician Award was established in 1978 and is presented annually to a physician who is deemed to have contributed significantly to the profession, patients and the community.
