Maker’s Mark Private Selection Event to Aid JA of Eastern Ohio
POLAND, Ohio – Bourbon lovers will have an opportunity to help The Lake Club select a custom recipe of Maker’s Mark, with proceeds benefiting Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio.
Maker’s Mark diplomat Lanessa Jones will guide attendees through a Maker’s Mark Private Selection tasting experience and share in the heritage of the iconic Loretto, Kentucky, distillery.
Guests at the event, which will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 19, will taste and vote on their favorite custom bourbon recipe, which will be barreled, aged in a limestone cellar, then bottled and waxed-dipped with a custom Lake Club label at the Maker’s Mark distillery.
Attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase a bottle of the custom bourbon, only available through The Lake Club.
The event, sponsored by The Muransky Companies, will include an opportunity to sample all five of the Ohio Liquor exclusive Maker’s Mark Private Selection, a series of bourbons known as Summer in Ohio.
Additionally, there will be a charcuterie display of artisan meats, cheeses, hot peppers and oil and other delectables, as well as small plates including one with bourbon maple glazed pork belly with creamed corn and picket peppers. Desserts will be by Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Finally, a build-your-own, old-fashioned bar will be available, where attendees can choose custom curated Maker’s Mark cocktails.
Auction items will include VIP trips to the Maker’s Mark Distillery and an opportunity to visit the James B. Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, to select a private single barrel of Knob Creek.
Register for the event HERE by Sept. 12.
