Mangas Joins BWC as Deputy Director of Strategy, Legislative Affairs

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has hired Carolyn Mangas as the deputy director of strategy and legislative affairs.

Mangas has spent the last 15 years working for the Ohio Insurance Agents Association as the government affairs manager.

As the deputy director of strategy and legislative affairs, Mangas will oversee and manage legislative and communication efforts between BWC and the public, stakeholders, employers and the legislature. She will also lead the development of operational plans, policies and procedures to accomplish BWC’s objectives and develop long-term strategic plans regarding legislation and workers’ compensation law.

Mangas is a member of the Ohio Lobbying Association and Ohio Women in Government.

She has a B.S. in social work from The Ohio State University and a master of applied politics from the University of Akron.
