Manufacturers Coalition Adds Bancroft to Growing Staff
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition has added Kelly Bancroft as a project manager supporting WorkAdvance, an initiative aimed at connecting diverse pools of jobseekers and incumbent workers to high-demand, low- and medium-skilled manufacturing jobs with strong career pathways.
MVMC is an industry-led workforce development agency comprised of more than 100 manufacturers and associated businesses in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
Bancroft most recently served as an academic adviser and adjunct English instructor at Hiram College. Her 25-year career in education includes administrative and teaching positions at the university level, as well as in the arts community and juvenile justice facilities.
She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and creative writing from Youngstown State University.
Her primary role with MVMC, she will be as a liaison with participating local manufacturing employers and those completing the WorkAdvance program.
Earlier this year, MVMC received a portion of a $23.5 million federal “Good Jobs Challenge” grant awarded to Ohio Manufacturers’ Association, which, in part, is geared toward expanding WorkAdvance throughout Ohio.
