Market Street Bridge Will be Closed All Day Friday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Market Street Bridge will be closed from 7 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, for the city’s Fourth of July fireworks show.

Detours will be in effect during those hours that will route motorists going to and from downtown over the South Avenue, Marshall Street and Spring Commons bridges, according to a press release from Melanie Clarke-Penella, the city’s director of downtown events.

Fireworks will be shot from the Market Street Bridge at 10 p.m. Friday.

Food trucks will be set up in Wean Park, which is adjacent to the bridge, beginning at 8 p.m.

Guests can bring blankets or lawn chairs to the park to watch the fireworks. Music will be provided by DJ Chip Banks. Admission is free.
