Marsick Promoted to WKBN-TV 27 Anchor Desk

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – WKBN-TV 27 this week announced the immediate promotion of Anna Marsick to the WKBN 27 First News anchor desk. She will anchor First News weekdays at 5 and 6 a.m. on WKBN, from 7 until 9 a.m. on WYFX Fox Youngstown, and at Noon on WKBN.

Marsick joined the TV stations in July 2022. She graduated from Baldwin Wallace with a degree in international business.

“Anna has quickly shown us that she is a great storyteller here in the Youngstown area. She has a passion to report the issues facing neighborhoods across the Valley and brings a compassionate touch to her coverage. I am excited for her to bring that passion and compassionate touch to our newscasts as our morning anchor,” says David Coy, WKBN-TV president and general manager.

Marsick says her passion for the news came from watching newscasts, as a child, with her grandfather. Years later, having the opportunity to come to the Valley as a reporter, her love for the industry and journalism has flourished. She has connected and reconnected with relatives in the area and has made special connections and developed friendships with many people who, like her, call the Valley home.

“Being an anchor was always a dream of mine and having the opportunity to be a part of WKBN’s morning show team is one that I am so incredibly grateful for,” Marsick says. “Not only do I get to work alongside such talented, caring individuals, but I get to do so in a community that I am so proud to be a part of.”
