Mayor-Elect Brown Forms Transition Team

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Mayor-elect Jamael Tito Brown has named a transition team to assist him in selecting a cabinet and a smooth transition into office.

Among members of the team are Bill Weimer, vice president of B.J. Alan Co.; Andrew Profanchik, owner of Apco Construction Inc.; and former Youngstown City Schools superintendents Ben McGee and Wendy Webb.

Others serving on the team include Barbara Flinn, Germaine Bennett, Bill Binning, Robert Kroner, Bob Holton, Rev. William King and Thomas DeGenova.

In announcing the team, Brown said all positions in his cabinet are open. Anyone interested in applying for a position should to go to the transition website, where they can review job descriptions.

Qualified applicants are encouraged to submit a cover letter and resume no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 11 to [email protected].

Brown said he will begin interviewing qualified candidates immediately. He takes office Jan. 1.
