Mazur Named COO of McDonald Steel, Egnot Retires
Jack Mazur (pictured) is the new president and chief operating officer of McDonald Steel Corp., a producer of engineered hot-rolled steel shapes based in McDonald. Mazur has been serving as executive vice president since November 2015 and replaces A. Timothy Egnot, who is retiring. Egnot, appointed COO in 2007, will continue to serve on the board of directors and the executive committee. Mazur previously held sales and marketing management positions with Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown Corp. (previously U.S. Steel Johnstown works) and ASKO Inc. in Homestead, Pa. In announcing Egnot’s retirement, the company noted that during his tenure the book value of its outstanding shares increased 161%, annual cash dividends tripled and numerous capital improvements were made including the installation of a new billet reheat furnace and construction of an office building.
