MCCTC Grant Program Funds Short-Term Certificate Programs

CANFIELD, Ohio – A grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education makes it possible for the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center’s Adult Career Center to offer financial assistance for students pursuing in-demand credentials.

Firefighter Level One and Two, EMT, welding short course programs and medical office specialist are MCCTC programs eligible for income-based grant opportunities.

Programs must be completed in less than one year, 900 hours and where a certificate or industry-recognized credential is awarded, as determined by a local and regional needs assessment.

Applications are reviewed in the order they are received and awarded based on need. Award amounts may vary, subject to individual needs and the availability of funds by the institution.

Contact the MCCTC adult career center at 330 729 4100 or visit MahoningCTC.com/adult for more information and to fill out an application.
