CANFIELD, Ohio – Gov. Mike DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted announced that 35 Ohio schools will receive grants totaling almost $200 million through the Career Technical Construction Program, helping expand education and training facilities to serve more students.

The Mahoning County Career & Technical Center was awarded $11.4 million to build a 39,000-square-foot expansion to support in-demand programs such as cybersecurity, electricity, welding, robotics and manufacturing.

“Our industry partners – our advisory members are telling us everyday that they’ll hire whatever qualified trained students that we can put out,” says John Zehentbauer, MCCTC superintendent.
