MCCTC, Valley STEM + ME2 Students Head to Global Competition
CANFIELD, Ohio – Thirteen Mahoning County Career & Technical Center and Valley STEM + ME2 Academy students have been selected to participate in the VEX Worlds competition in Dallas, Texas.
The group departed Wednesday, and the students will showcase their talents along with 820 teams from 44 different countries.
The VEX Worlds competition brings together teams from around the world to compete in various challenges that test their engineering, programming and problem-solving skills. For MCCTC and Valley STEM + ME2 Academy, the competition represents an opportunity for students to demonstrate their capabilities and gain experience in a competitive environment, a news release states.
Under the guidance of Walter Baber, robotics club adviser and engineering instructor, the students have spent hours designing, building and refining their robotic creations to meet the standards of the VEX Worlds competition.
