Mercer Federal Credit Union Renovates Sharon Branch

HERMITAGE, Pa. – For over 60 years, Mercer County Community Federal Credit Union has served the financial needs of its members in the Shenango Valley and has grown to nearly 10,000 members.

The credit union has two branches, one in Sharon, Pa., and one in Hermitage, Pa.

2018 was a pivotal year as the credit union embarked on a major renovation project at its Sharon branch. When completed early this year, the new branch will be nearly 3,200 square feet with five additional offices, a larger open-concept lobby and expanded drive-thru lanes featuring video monitor technology.

“Updating and expanding our facilities allows us to better serve our members with new technology,” says Sandi Carangi, CEO. “And as more people join our credit union, we’re able to take care of them in a much more efficient, larger facility.”

As the credit union looks ahead to 2019, the focus will be on serving the community through financial literacy initiatives, new technology and expanded services to accommodate future growth, Carangi says.
