Mercy Health Names Gross Associate General Counsel

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Michael Gross has been named associate general counsel of both Mercy Health – Youngstown and Mercy Health – Lorain. Gross will provide legal guidance on a broad range of issues in the acute care setting, with focused support in the areas of risk assessment and mitigation, behavioral health, protective services, HIPAA privacy, regulatory compliance and policy harmonization.

He joins Mercy Health from OhioHealth Corp., where he served as assistant general counsel.

Gross has also served as assistant general counsel at Adena Health System in Chillicothe and at Bellefaire JCB in Cleveland. He holds his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, his masters from Pace University in New York, New York, and his bachelors from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
