Mercy Health Receives Its First Delivery of Vaccines

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Mercy Health-Youngstown has received its first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Immunizations will begin in the early afternoon, a hospital spokesman said in a statement issued at 11:30 a.m. Mercy received the vaccine produced by Moderna Pharmaceuticals.

No further information was given, but Mercy will host a press conference at 5:30 p.m. with chief clinical officer Dr. James Kravec, Mercy Health-Youngstown Market President Dr. John Luellen and three of the first staff members to receive the vaccine.
