Meridian Names Villaplana Chief Medical Officer

Meridian HealthCare has named Dr. Luis Villaplana, M.D. its chief medical officer. Villaplana has served the community for over 30 years with his own private practice. As chief medical officer, he will focus on the integration of behavioral health and primary care services.”I want to provide guidance, education and high quality of care for our patients, as well as teach the next generations of medical professionals about the humanistic qualities that should be at the forefront of medicine and our relationship with those who seek our help and advice,” says Villaplana. He will oversee Meridian’s primary care facilities in Howland and Youngstown, medication assisted treatment programs in Youngstown and Warren, and withdrawal management program in Youngstown.
