Merry Crustmas Event to Feature Pizza, Beer and Prizes
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – White Glove Payroll, Youngstown Pizza Reviews, Penguin City Brewing and Youngstown Clothing Co. are teaming up for this year’s Merry Crustmas Hoppy Holidays event.
The annual spotlight on local pizza restaurants and small businesses will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at Penguin City.
Registration at the door includes two slices of Wedgewood Pizza and a draft beer from Penguin City. There will also be music and raffle prizes, including a $1,000 cash prize and a $1,500 voucher for a Yo Big Bounce obstacle course rental. There will also be prizes for those watching on Facebook Live.
Youngstown Pizza Reviews is a father/daughter duo that reviews pizzas in the Mahoning Valley. Their goal is to bring as much attention to the Youngstown area as they can while helping as many people as they can along the way.
“When we first envisioned this giveaway four years ago, we never thought it would grow like this,” said Jeremy Oklota of Youngstown Pizza Reviews. “Each year something new happens that makes me love this city even more. Thanks to our friends at White Glove Payroll, we are able to keep this crazy idea of ours alive each holiday season. Having Youngstown Clothing Co. add to this magical event is just the icing on the cake.”
Youngstown Clothing Co. has created a new holiday shirt that is a part of its Yo-nation Jar program, in which a portion of the proceeds go to a cause chosen by a collaborator.
Youngstown Pizza Reviews selected the Turco family from New Castle, Pa., as the beneficiary. Nick Turco, who owns Turco’s Pizza, and his wife recently had a son, Luca, who was born with a heart defect. Luca has already had two of the three open heart surgeries he will need, and Nick has had to shut the pizza shop down multiple times to be at the hospital. A portion of the proceeds from the Merry Crustmas T-shirt, which can be purchased online and at the event, will go directly to the Turco family.
“This community has been amazing to us since we started White Glove Payroll. We do our best to show our gratitude all year long, but this event allows for us to do something a little extra,” said Tim Petrey, a White Glove Payroll founder. “Free pizza, free beer, a full night of giveaways capped off by a $1,000 prize to one lucky fan. We’re pumped to be a part of this event and always love to partner with Youngstown Pizza Reviews, Penguin City Brewing and our good friends at Youngstown Clothing Co. We’re proud to be a part of this community and thankful for these kinds of opportunities to show our gratitude.”
