Michael Stanley Band Concert to Feature Original Guitarists, Popovec

NORTHFIELD, Ohio – To commemorate the Michael Stanley Band’s 50th anniversary, original band members Tommy Dobeck and Jonah Koslen will return to Center Stage at MGM Northfield Park for a May 25 concert.

The band for the evening will also include Danny Powers, Michael Gismondi, Gary Markasky, Marc Lee Shannon, Rodney Psyka, Paul Christensen, Dave Young, Rik Storm and Jackie Popovec, who is the lead singer of Youngstown rock band The Vindys.

Popovec has lent her vocals to previous Michael Stanley tribute concerts.

The Northfield concert will mark the first time that all three MSB lead guitarists will perform an entire show together.

Additional special guests will be added to this one night only event.

Michael Stanley died in 2021.

“Michael and I shared everything for 48 years – the highs, the lows and the illnesses too,” Dobeck said. “We had an agreement that we would decide what to do when we hit 50. Unfortunately, we didn’t get there, but I will carry Michael’s spirit with me that night.”

A portion of proceeds from every ticket sold will benefit the 10,000 Watts of Holy Light Fund of The Cleveland Foundation.
