Miles of Conduit and Wire Inside TJX Distribution Center
LORDSTOWN, Ohio – A peek inside the huge TJX HomeGoods Distribution Center – and the “miles of conduit and wire … [that] send power to more than 5,000 light fixtures” comes courtesy of Joe Dickey Electric Co. and the NECA-IBEW website.
The electrical grid includes eight 4,000-amp distribution areas, two 3.2 megawatt generators, fire alarms and countless outlets, according to the post.
TJX plans to begin full operations at the 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center by year-end. No date has been released publicly.
“The TJX project was a great opportunity for Joe Dickey Electric. It came pre-COVID and at a time when work in the Warren area was slow and became a significant part of our growth for 2020,” Eric Carlson, president of Dickey Electric., says in the post. “We and IBEW Local 573 were able to work hand-in-hand to secure the project in a true testament to our partnership. Because of this partnership, much needed manhours were created for the local electricians.”
