Mobile Market to Celebrate One Year of Service
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Mahoning Valley Mobile Market is celebrating its one year anniversary at Wean Park on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The event will feature market vouchers, games, music and several prizes. The mobile market will also be available until 3 p.m.
The customized 20-passenger bus has brought groceries to nearly 9,000 people throughout 343 sites.
“It really is a testimony to the need for food access in the Mahoning Valley and grassroots organizations stepping up to meet that need,” said Jeff Magada, founder and executive director of Flying High Inc.
