Music at Madison Cabaret to Spotlight Neil Diamond

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Music at Madison cabaret will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 19, with an evening of the music of Neil Diamond in the group’s new events center.

The 8 p.m. show will feature pianist Rodd Coonce, with Diane Yazvac (keyboards), and Bob Bacha (percussion), and vocalists Patsy Sullivan, Colleen Chance, Chris Cerenelli and James Cerenelli.
Admission is $20. Call 330 720 4597 for reservations.

A potluck dinner will precede the show at 7 p.m. Guests can bring a dish for all to enjoy but it’s not required. Guests can bring their own bottle; stemware and bottled water will be provided.

The show will take place at Full Circle Event Center, 319 Goldie Road. In addition to cabarets, the hall – a former church – is used as a rental space for weddings, parties, showers and other events.

“I am also in the process of installing equipment for showing classic movies as well as bringing back ‘Vincent,’” said Coonce, who is the owner.

“Vincent” is a one-man play, written by Leonard Nimoy, about Vincent Van Gogh. Music at Madison has presented the show several times in the past at its former location at Dorian Books, 802 Elm St., on Youngstown’s north side.

Coonce and Jack Peterson founded the Music at Madison cabaret two decades ago. It has since garnered a following, with audience members singing along at the monthly shows.

As always, the venue for Saturday’s show will be decorated with linen-covered tables with candles, fresh flowers and mood lighting.
