MVMC Looks to Double Down on Work Advance Program
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition trained over 90 individuals in 2022 who had no prior manufacturing experience and became employees of manufacturing businesses in the Valley.
It’s all thanks to the MVMC’s Work Advance Program, which Jessica Borza, executive director of the MVMC says the coalition plans to double down on in 2023.
“Those are net new manufacturing employees who wouldn’t have otherwise applied to manufacturing,” says Borza.
