National Philanthropy Day Awards Event Set for Nov. 4
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Association of Fundraising Professionals Mahoning-Shenango Chapter has announced the 2022 honorees for the local National Philanthropy Day Award Celebration.
The celebration will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at Eastwood Event Centre, 5577 Youngstown Warren Road in Niles.
National Philanthropy Day is a special day set aside to acknowledge the profound impact of philanthropy and to recognize the people and organizations who have embraced philanthropy as a way of life.
The local celebration recognizes area individuals, businesses, and organizations whose philanthropic efforts, across a broad array of causes, have strengthened and enriched the Mahoning and Shenango valleys.
This year’s honorees are:
- Leonard J. Fisher, Outstanding Philanthropist
- Crowe’s Cabinets, Outstanding Small Business Philanthropist
- Barbara Brothers, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
- Third Source Committee of Holy Family Parish, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraising Group
- Jeanne Deibel Tyler, Legacy Award (presented posthumously)

Reservations are required. The cost is $40 per person and $320 for a table of eight.
