Navigators Excerpt: Trades Represented in Fire Service

On the fire-fighting side of the program, the training gets heavily into the trades, such as carpentry, electrical work and welding.

“There’s a lot of tradesmen represented in the fire service, so going through a career and technical college and getting some type of credential that way is a great place to start,” Lightly says.
