YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — One insurance item to watch in 2022 will be the legal cases concerning Loss Business Income policies, says Ellie Platt, owner of Platt Insurance Group in Warren.
During the pandemic many businesses filed such claims and “the insurance companies have been saying, pretty much across the board, that a virus is not a covered loss,” she says.
“Most businesses are saying, ‘if insurance is here to protect risk, how do we protect against this in the future?’ “
