Nelsonville Music Festival Returns in New Location

NELSONVILLE, Ohio – After a two-year absence, the Nelsonville Music Festival will return in a new location.

The event will take place Sept. 2-4 at the new Snow Fork Event Center, near Nelsonville. In previous years, the festival was at Hocking Community College.

The festival will feature three days of music by more than 35 bands on multiple stages. The headliners include Japanese Breakfast, Angel Olsen, Yo La Tengo, Neko Case, Mdou Moctar and Lucinda Williams.

The AV Club and Ohio Magazine have named NMF as the “Best Music Festival in Ohio,” and Time Out Chicago has called it “one of the Midwest’s best festivals.”

Weekend passes for all three days are on sale now for $169 ($75 for children ages 13-17); go to nelsonvillefest.org.

Camping passes and single-day tickets are also on sale now.

Snow Fork Event Center is located at 5685 Happy Hollow Road, three miles west of Nelsonville. It sits next to the Wayne National Forest, just off state Route 78.

The Nelsonville Music Festival is a production of Stuart’s Opera House, a historic, nonprofit theater located in Nelsonville that presents live music, theater, educational programming and community building. All proceeds support Stuart’s Opera House.
