NEOMED Names Burton VP for HR and Diversity
Northeast Ohio Medical University has appointed Andre Burton vice president for human resources and diversity. Burton had been serving as interim VP since October. He had been the executive director of diversity, equity and inclusion. In his interim role, Burton led an institutional review of human resources, added more consultative services to the HR office, implemented a workforce re-engineering process; and investigated opportunities to streamline processes, the university said in announcing his promotion. Before joining NEOMED, Burton held a similar position at Cuyahoga Community College. He also served for 10 years as a deputy director of the Ohio Lottery Commission. Burton received his Juris Doctor from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University and his B.A. in criminal justice from Kent State University.
