NEOTEC Conference to Focus on Logistics Technology
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Emerging technologies in the logistics industry is the featured topic Aug. 21 at the 20th annual Northeast Ohio Logistics Conference and Golf Open, organizers said Tuesday.
The conference begins at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 21 at the Firestone Country Club in Akron.
The program, sponsored by the Northeast Ohio Trade & Economic Consortium and the Port of Cleveland, will examine supply-chain technology, the effects of technology in the logistics industry and individual company operations, and how the Ohio Turnpike is preparing for advanced transportation technology.
David Gutheil, vice president of maritime logistics for the Port of Cleveland, will deliver opening remarks. U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-7 Ohio, who serves on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will present an update from Washington.
Also on the agenda are Lance Healy, chief innovation officer for Banyan Technology; Dennis Heppner, manager/logistics practice leader, and Dave Gealy, manager distribution/practice for Sedlak Management Consultants; and Randy Cole, executive director for the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission.
