New Castle Manufacturer Goes Green with Solar
NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Berner International – Air Curtains has been recognized as the first manufacturer to integrate solar initiatives in Lawrence County.
The Pennsylvania Solar Center has awarded it with the Lodestar Award, which recognizes leaders in the solar energy field in Pennsylvania.
“Currently, the amount of energy that we’re creating is 160% of what we currently use,” says Denise Grady, CFO for Berner International. “In the future when we expand, we intend to use that energy internally, so we won’t have that excess.”
