New Gift, Novelty Store in Mall Helps Feed the Hungry
BOARDMAN, Ohio – BoxLunch, a gift and novelty store whose mission includes feeding the hungry, has opened in Southern Park Mall.
The store offers pop culture items, including officially licensed apparel, accessories, collectibles, beauty and home goods, and novelty merchandise. It is located in the DeBartolo Commons concourse, next to White Barn.
With a motto of “Get Some. Give Back.,” BoxLunch will donate one meal to Feeding America for every $10 spent in the store. Feeding America is a nationwide network of foodbanks. The new Southern Park Mall store will work with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, as well as other hunger-relief groups, according to a press release from the mall.
“We’re thrilled to be joining the rest of the great brands at Southern Park and we are very excited to open another store in Ohio,” said Rick Vargas, vice president of merchandising and marketing.
BoxLunch will celebrate the opening of its new store this weekend. The first 50 guests on Saturday, July 16, will receive a mystery gift card worth up to $100. The celebration will also include a DJ, trivia and prizes. It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
BoxLunch is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
