Ohio Federal Research Network Info Event Thursday at YBI

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown Business Incubator and Youngstown State University in partnership with the Ohio Federal Research Network will host an informational event from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the YBI.

The Ohio Federal Research Network is a statewide initiative to support high-tech research and commercialization for defense and aerospace industries.

The event will show area companies how they may benefit from projects funded by the network and how to become part of university, industry and federal laboratory teams.

The Ohio Federal Research Network is completing its second year of startup activities.

To date, 18 projects have been selected and over $15.8 million of state funds have been invested in these projects. This state investment has led to over $30 million of additional federal government investment and an additional $200 million worth of proposals submitted to federal agencies for evaluation and potential future awards.
